Bea Alonzo turned 17 last Sunday, Oct. 17 and the first thing people are asking her is, "Are you ready to fall in love?"
The answer is, yes, "I am." But she added that she’ll wait until she’s 18 before she seriously thinks about "seriously" falling in love.
One of the country’s prettiest and most talented newcomers (she’s a deadringer for the award-winning bold actress Katherine Luna, who was introduced in Mario O’Hara’s Ang Babae sa Breakwater which continues to win raves in international film festivals), Bea has achieved so much in so short a time.
Because of her head-turning performance in the ABS-CBN soap Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay (followed by It Might Be You, botyh with John Lloyd Cruz as her leading man), Bea was named Best New Actress by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC’s) Star Awards for TV.
It’s her wholesome, unblemished image that prompted the makers of Porsche Jeans to enlist her as endorser.
Asked if John Lloyd is courting her, Bea simply smiled.
How does the rumor that John Lloyd is eyeing Heart Evangelista affect her?
"It doesn’t," said Bea. "Kung saan siya masaya, doon siya."
