BEA Alonzo, at 16 years old, has very simple dreams. Would you believe that one of them is to own a more expensive cellphone than the one she has now?
She has not bought a new cellphone because, according to her, all her earnings go straight to her mom. "Alam ko kasi na marami kaming pangangailangan pa. Kaya natutuwa ako na nakakatulong ako sa aking pamilya."
Bea is now the proud owner of a brand-new Starex van. She used to own a second-hand van which she was the first thing she bought from her earnings.
In an interview, Bea revealed that she used to take a taxicab from Cainta, Rizal, to ABS-CBN when she was still very new in showbiz. The trip was expensive, so when she was able to save enough, her mom brought her the second-hand van.
Next in their agenda is to purchase a townhouse, preferably still in Cainta, where they reside. Almost all their relatives are living in Cainta and Bea's younger half-brother is studying there.

Bea knows that her father is British. But she never got to see him because he left her mom while she was pregnant with Bea.
So she grew up with her stepfather, who takes to her as if she were his own child. "Kaya, siguro, I never missed my dad. Although I'd naturally want to see him," she said.
She was 13 years old when she decided to join showbiz. Her mom initially was reluctant to give her go-signal.
"Magulo ang showbiz, anak," her Mom told her. "Nababasa naman natin sa diyaryo, 'di ba?"
But she was insistent.
Has she any regrets?
"So far, none. Everyone, in fact, including the movie writers who have interviewed me, has been kind to me. Sana nga 'di sila magbago sa akin."

Bea has no idea yet how the box-office success of her movie, "Now That I Have You," co-starring her with John Lloyd Cruz, will change her life. It has not affected her, definitely. As she said: "Busog ako sa pangaral from my Mom."
But she loves the idea of being treated like a star. A superstar, for that matter. It's a rare kind of emotion which she has never felt before.
Bea wants to pour herself more into her career. She is pretty contented with the treatment of her role in "It Might Be You," her teleserye with John Lloyd Cruz on ABS-CBN. Now she is looking forward to her next movie assignment for Star Cinema.
"But whatever happens I would always consider John Lloyd as a part of my life," she said. "Siya ang isa sa naging dahilan kung bakit napansin ako."
Is John Lloyd courting her now?
"Hindi," she flatly denied. "Alam niyang bawal pa sa akin ang ligawan."
